I know I’ll have to repeat this a few times or more before folks understand- I wrote these stories based upon my own experiences and those of my cohorts from back in the day. Many characters in the stories are inspired by folks I knew from back then- and certainly some of their experiences are the foundation for some of the tales I wrote. But hey, folks!! I made a bunch of shit up too! And the characters that were based upon people I knew have all sorts of pieces to them that have nothing to do with the real, live punks I knew back in the day. I’ve had a few conversations with people who have recognized pieces of themselves and I’ve had to explain a few times- yes that was based on you, but no, I don’t think you looked/acted like that character at all! Because- wait for it- this is FICTION and I made a bunch of shit up.
